Systems Engineer - Part-Time Temporary

Description

The Arthur W. Diamond Law Library of Columbia University has a new opening for a Part-Time Temporary Systems Engineer that will report to the Systems Librarian for one year.

Minimum qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required and minimum of 3 years related experience
-In-depth knowledge of LAMP environment required
-Knowledge of programming principles and at least one high-level programming language
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Must be able to balance priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred qualifications:
-Experience with web server administration and systems monitoring
-Bash shell-scripting and PHP
-Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
-Experience with database administration and optimization
-Library education or experience
-Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
