Job Summary: Responsible for planning, creating, editing and monitoring technical documentation, including but not limited to downloadable user documentation and release documentation for Kuali Open Library Environment (OLE) project in coordination with a team of subject matter experts and OLE project staff.Implements communication and assessment efforts including wiki maintenance for inter-project communications, updating and enhancing the OLE portion of the Kuali.org public website, creating blog posts, distribution lists, and promoting development updates. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and publishes information in the Kuali OLE online help system including the programming to convert user documentation to an executable online format and testing the online help system functionality.
Participates in testing the OLE system; coordinates testing efforts, communication, and execution of test scripts and free range testing; reports software issues; and provides feedback to QA manager. Acts as the communications business analyst for the Kuali OLE; promotes the Kuali OLE through a variety of media; and implements communication, marketing, and assessment efforts. Maintains the Kuali OLE wiki pages and the Kuali.org public site creating blog posts and promoting development updates; creates and contributes articles on a regular basis; and informs the Kuali OLE communication team of monthly development progress for public distribution to partner institutions.

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in library science or IT related field and one year experience as a business analyst on IT or library sciences projects.

Previous experience working in a team environment comprised of technical and functional staff with varying levels of skills and responsibility. Ability to understand, apply, interpret, and translate technical concepts and transform them into them into usable documentation for non-technical users and demonstrated ability to prepare detailed written instructions and documentation as well as other types of business documents such as procedures, templates, form, and instructions as necessary by the Kuali OLE project.
Superior skills in the usage of the English language including grammar, punctuation and spelling; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in order to work collaboratively within a diverse university environment. This includes working with community source partners consisting of large research institutions, large and small private institutions, and small communitycolleges.
Experience with and knowledge of Google Documents/Google Drive, MS Windows, MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel. Experience and knowledge of Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Drupal, Gliffy, Balsamiq, Webex, and Skype. Understanding of library processes including circulation, cataloging, and physical and electronic acquisitions; demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies; and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
