Sourcery Community Ambassador
Description
We are seeking current or graduated MLIS/MS/MA/PhD students who are passionate about archival research and digital research tools to fulfill scanning jobs in local archives. Help bring Sourcery to your city!
We are specifically searching for Ambassadors located in or nearby multiple California cities, including:
Berkeley, CA
Oakland, CA
Paolo Alto, CA
Los Angeles, CA
Sacramento, CA
San Bruno, CA
Stanford, CA

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Attend a 30 minute orientation meeting via Zoom
- Complete an onboarding worksheet
- Create and maintain a Sourcery App account
- Introduce Sourcery to your research/social circles
- Commitment to fulfill at least one (1) job posted in the Sourcery app for your chosen city between August 2026 - September 2027, and provide feedback via a worksheet.
Qualified applications will demonstrate the following:
- Located in or nearby any of the above cities
- Enrolled or graduated from MLIS/MS/MA/PhD program
- Access to an iPhone or Android device running a recent version of the iOS or Android operating system
- Experience handling materials in closed archives
Compensation is a $50 honorarium from the University of Connecticut plus full payout for each completed job.
