Data Services Librarian
Description
Saint Louis University Libraries invite you to apply for the position of Data Services Librarian. Supporting the Libraries' strategic plan and the University’s R1 research status, the successful candidate will work with researchers at all levels (faculty, student, and staff) to address their data-related needs throughout the research data lifecycle.
As the first Data Services Librarian at SLU, the successful candidate will work with colleagues across the libraries and the university to develop capacity in data discovery, curation, management, visualization, and analysis. By assessing the university data management needs, current initiatives, and future directions, they will develop and deliver presentations and workshops on data best practices and tools. The Data Services Librarian will also collaborate with subject librarians to embed data information literacy into appropriate courses and campus student research programs, as well as provide instruction sessions and individual research consultations.
This full-time, non-tenure track faculty position reports to the Associate Dean of Collections & Strategy. This position is primarily in-person with occasional remote work options and some schedule flexibility.
Key information:
· Starting salary from $65,000, negotiable based on relevant experience.
