Digital Scholarship Specialist

The University of Florida’s Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere invites applications for a Digital Scholarship Specialist to join our team and help shape the future of digital humanities and public scholarship on campus.
About the Position
This full-time staff role will support interdisciplinary research and teaching by integrating digital tools and methods into humanities scholarship and curricula. The Digital Scholarship Specialist will also coordinate the Center’s new Digital Humanities Lab, providing consultations, workshops, and collaborative programming to advance innovation in digital research and pedagogy.
Key Responsibilities:
Support faculty and students in digital research, data curation, and public humanities projects
Design and lead workshops on digital tools and methodologies
Develop instructional resources and help integrate DH practices into curricula
Contribute to grant writing and project documentation
Coordinate lab operations, maintain DH resources, and build collaborative partnerships
Position Details:
Location: Gainesville, FL (main campus)

This is a TEAMS (staff) position with full UF benefits
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant field (Digital Humanities, Instructional Design, Library/Information Science, etc.)
Experience with DH tools and platforms
Strong communication, instructional design, and project management skills
Familiarity with learning management systems and accessibility best practices
