Website Developer
Description
The Website Developer position will lead the planning, developing, securing, and maintaining the websites and web content management systems for the University of Tennessee Libraries.
Reporting to the Director of Digital Initiatives and part of a result-driven team, the position will be responsible for managing timely projects that include large-scope redesigns, feature improvements, regular updates, and day-to-day maintenance of the websites. This position will oversee the web coordinator group, a cross-library group of about 40 employees that maintain the content side of the websites.
Some essential tasks of this position will include managing the development and configuration of the websites, overseeing the website user experience, tracking the website usage through analytics, selecting vendors needed to support the websites, and communicating the quality standards of the website to the key stakeholders.
Additionally, the Website Developer supports their team and the libraries by training and sharing their expertise and knowledge in website standards and best practices. They will continuously seek knowledge and learning opportunities to expand their skill sets and adopt new emerging technologies.
