Description
The University of California, Riverside (UCR) seeks applications for an innovative and dynamic librarian to work collaboratively to support the scholarly and research activities of UCR faculty, researchers, and students. Reporting to the Director of Research Services (also part of this cluster hiring, see academic recruitment https://aprecruit.ucr.edu/JPF01874), the incumbent will be the driving force of the library’s Digital Scholarship Program to support campus research and teaching through interdisciplinary collaboration on cutting-edge projects in Humanities, Social Sciences, and STEM. The incumbent will seek opportunities to embed in campus research and teaching teams to directly address UCR community’s digital scholarship needs. These include but are not limited to: designing and implementing collaborative digital scholarship projects; contributing novel ideas, expertise, and methods to UCR faculty, researchers, and students’ intellectual discourse and advancement; and providing digital scholarship related outreach and consultation services. In partnership with other library colleagues as well as UCR colleges and academic programs, the incumbent will continuously develop specialized and sought-after digital scholarship expertise synergistic with UCR faculty’s research and teaching agendas. Ideal candidates are highly collaborative problem-solvers specializing in digital scholarship methods and tools. They should also enjoy conducting research and teaching across discipline lines to explore novel fronts and be committed to lifelong learning and collaboration.
