Digital Music Web Developer
Description
The Stanford Department of Music and Stanford Libraries are seeking a web frontend developer to support the Piano Roll Program, an innovative effort to make historic piano rolls accessible digitally to researchers and the public. The person in this part-time, limited-term position will work to refine and enhance the web presence of the program, which presently includes static sites such as https://exhibits.stanford.edu/supra and an interactive Javascript web application, the Pianolatron (https://pianolatron.stanford.edu).
Regular tasks will involve designing, developing, implementing, modifying, and maintaining new and existing static websites and Javascript web applications related to the Piano Roll Program. Work will include collaborating with team members across the Libraries and communicating with faculty experts in the Department of Music.
This position works in conjunction with Digital Library Systems and Services and is based on the main Stanford campus, with an option for remote work. The position reports to the Research Developer at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research.
