Part Time Cataloger

Description

We are looking for a part-time person who can do original cataloging of military documents from document images stored on CDs   They will use RDA and enter the records in OCLC using the customer’s account.  LC Subject classification and LCSH subject headings. Catalogers with archival and special collections experience are especially encouraged to apply. Reading knowledge of one of the major European languages can be helpful as a few documents are in foreign languages.   The work can be done from anywhere as long as the person has a computer and an internet connection.  At this point we need somebody who can contribute approx. 10-20 records per week which probably translates to as much as 10-20 hours per week.  The project will last through at least Sept but may be extended beyond that.  We are interested in filling this position quickly, applications received prior to 5/26 will be given priority.   Please send resume to steve.coffman@lsslibraries.com
