As part of a collaborative team, the Digital Literacy Instruction Librarian supports library and campus efforts in developing students’ digital literacy skills. Particular focus is placed on consulting with faculty on the development of multi-modal assignments, instruction for courses completing digital scholarship projects, and library activities to support Brandeis general education requirements.

At Brandeis University, our mission and history are rooted in the pursuit of social justice, thus we aim to include this value in all that we do. We are seeking candidates with a variety of social identities, including those who have been underrepresented in higher education, who possess skills that spark innovation and who are committed to building, engaging with, and sustaining a pluralistic, unified, and just campus community. Brandeis Library recognizes the ways in which librarianship has not been presented inclusive and equitable opportunities for individuals from underrepresented groups. We strive to develop an inclusive, equitable, and diverse space on our campus; the Library’s Anti-racism plan outlines our efforts toward critical pedagogy; staff engagement with anti-racist practices in trainings and educational opportunities; development and retention of a diverse workforce; and the development and curation of collections that elevate the voices and themes of BIPOC and advance understanding of anti-racism.
