Description

St. Olaf College is seeking to fill an exciting new position as an Instructional Technologist for Data Science. This is a full-time, year-round hybrid (remote & in-person) position.

We are looking for a creative problem solver who enjoys supporting the work of faculty and students in an undergraduate setting.  Someone who thrives in a creative and highly collaborative environment,  and would enjoy teaching others about the intersection of data science with teaching and learning.
As a member of the Instructional Technology Team in Library and Information Technology (LITS), the Instructional Technologist for Data Science will make vital contributions to student success. Their central role will be working with faculty and students to explore and apply pedagogically sound technologies and data curation practices to teaching, learning and research. They will bring a passion for teaching undergraduates and keeping current with technology trends in higher education. This person would also be our lead support for our RStudio Workbench and RStudio Connect servers (increasingly used in a variety of courses and research projects), along with other technologies in the field of data science and data visualization.
