Special Collections Digital Exhibits Technical Assistant
Description
The Special Collections Digital Exhibits Technical Assistant will provide technical support for the launch of a student curated digital exhibition platform. The assistant will use a hosted instance of Omeka to create and customize the exhibit website. They will also be responsible for creating and maintaining software documentation, testing and piloting exhibit workflows, maintaining and enhancing training materials, and following University standards and guidelines for web design and accessibility.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with Javascript and CSS
- Demonstrated experience documenting workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing a graduate degree in the humanities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated understanding of web accessibility standards
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Familiarity with or interest in digital humanities
- Familiarity with PHP
- Understanding of web accessibility standards
