The University of Wyoming Libraries is seeking applicants for a Head of Digital Resources Librarian position. The position will develop, implement, and maintain digital services, workflows, and policies.RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the operations of the digitization lab. Ensure long-term access to digitized information services and resources. Facilitate technology infrastructure and content addition for WySR, the digital repository. Collaborate with other library departments to develop and maintain the infrastructure necessary to deliver digitization services to the campus. Collaborate with the university community to develop policies and procedures for management of the University’s digital intellectual output, and the digital conversion of library and archival collections. Maintain best practice documentation for all areas of digitization. Conduct ongoing assessment of virtual library content and its use. Supervise staff and non-benefitted student positions. Work with other library department heads to advance the strategic goals of the organization. Pursue an active and ongoing program of professional development, scholarship, and service. Report to the Associate Dean of Libraries.
REQUIRED: MLS from an ALA accredited institution. Minimum of five years of successful, progressively responsible professional experience. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of digital collection issues and digital library technologies. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a manager, including budget and personnel management. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills, Strong record of professional accomplishment.
PREFERRED: Experience in an academic library. Experience in public service and/or user education. Experience in collection development.

Minimum salary is $56,000 dependent on qualifications and experience; 12-month appointment, 22 days vacation; sick leave, group health insurance, state and TIAA-CREF retirement plans, no state income tax.
