DevOps Specialist ‐ Analyst/Programmer

Description

The University Library at California State University San Marcos invites applications for the position of DevOps Specialist ‐ Analyst/Programmer. This is a full-time, temporary position with benefits ending on or before April 2, 2020. This position may continue beyond April 2, 2020, upon the availability of funds.

Under the direction of the Head of Library Technology Initiatives and Development (LTID) and the Associate Dean, the DevOps Specialist ‐ Analyst/Programmer will be responsible for working closely with the LTID team to support application development, application implementation, and systems operations. Responsibilities include:
• Support development and implementation of technology applications and services
• Contribute to system administration processes
• Contribute to high‐quality releases of library applications from development to production
• Support the planning and implementation of robust development, testing, and production server environments
• Contribute to high availability and security of library applications
• Support the introduction and expansion of practices and tools that promote integration of development and operations
