Description

The Virginia Commonwealth University Libraries, joining the Association of Research Libraries in 2018 as the first new U.S. member of ARL in over 15 years, invites applications and nominations for the position of Head, Metadata and Discovery. The Head, Metadata and Discovery provides strategic and innovative leadership and oversight of metadata and cataloging, authority control, bibliographic maintenance, and access to continuing resources. The Head, Metadata and Discovery is responsible for managing and directing staff in the creation of metadata and cataloging in all formats, as well as all aspects of continuing resources access and maintenance. The successful candidate will join a culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber.

Salary commensurate with experience, not less than $70,000. Review of applications will begin November 30, 2018 and will continue until the position is filled.
