Smith College Libraries is hiring a Digital Arts & Humanities Librarian to lead change as a member of a newly blended Learning, Research & Technology department that jointly reports to the Dean of Libraries and CIO. Review of applications will continue until the positions are filled.
As a member of a blended department of librarians, educational technologists and special analysis specialists within Smith College Libraries, the Digital Arts & Humanities Librarian will lead digital scholarship efforts in arts and humanities and support academic departments and the arts community through Hillyer Art Library. They will facilitate the adoption of new models of scholarship at Smith by promoting methodologies and tools of the visual and digital arts and humanities for research, teaching and learning. This position will engage the arts community in learning about services, facilities and technologies. As the librarian for Hillyer Library, they will ensure that Smith faculty, students, and staff have access to a suite of robust, effective, and innovative library services and collections serving the visual and digital arts.
