Description

The Web Content Specialist is responsible for coordinating the office’s digital and on-line content.  Creates digital content, including on-line scholarly publishing, web material, collections management, and social media.  Participates in other curatorial duties as assigned.  This position requires the ability to work in a small workstation in an office environment without an expectation of privacy, where noise levels are usually moderate.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in History of Art and/or progressively responsible curatorial or digital humanities experience.  A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • The applicant should be actively engaged in and demonstrated capacity to learn new approaches to digital humanities.
  • Temperament to communicate with a variety of personalities in a tactful, pleasant and professional manner.
  • Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion in fulfillment of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to work as a member of a team performing shared duties.
  • Must be competent in operation of IBM-PC compatibles, multi-tasked oriented and able to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
