REQUIRED: We are looking for an individual with experience in and knowledge of Library, Information Science, or Information Management principles, practices, and systems. Soliciting and analyzing customers' information needs, communicating and presenting information professionally and effectively, and advocating for library services are all necessary components of the job. Candidates should be able to apply principles of information architecture (IA) and user experience (UX) to library websites, systems, repositories, and customer-driven projects in order to gather, organize, filter, and deliver the right information in the right amount to the right user at the right time. Additionally, candidates should have demonstrated experience and interest in: web and object-oriented programming, and relational databases. Finally, the successful candidate must be able to work in collaborative, individual, and virtual environments.
This position starts at one of two levels, depending on your experience:
Level 2 - Bachelor's degree and typically 3 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Level 3 - Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
