Web Developer
Description
The Web Developer manages, configures, and supports the Libraries’ websites and other digital initiatives, taking a lead role in planning and implementation. The Web Developer provides technical and operations support for web services in the NDSU Libraries. The Web Developer will also participate in training and support of staff and users, and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2 years’ experience in web design and development
• Demonstrated experience with HTML, CSS and web design principles
• Demonstrated experience with JQuery, JavaScript and PHP programming
• Experience with a PHP web frameworks (e.g. Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a commitment to customer services
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with relational databases and database design
• Experience with JavaScript UI frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap)
• Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment
• Website development experience using Drupal
• Website development experience using Django
• Python software development experience
