Research Librarian: Instruction and Digital Scholarship (Susquehanna University, Pennsylvania)Posting #: AH00074 Identify and develop new digital tools and information resources that advance scholarly inquiry, while supporting innovative library instruction services. Seek opportunities to partner with faculty, students, and staff on digital scholarship projects with significant data creation, management, and display requirements. Work with a team of librarians to develop and maintain a strong library instruction presence on campus. Serve as liaison to assigned academic departments and fosters strong relationships with faculty in support of teaching, learning, and scholarship. Oversee the operations of the archives and provides leadership in preserving and disseminating archival material. Required Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge of various models and patterns of digital scholarship Strong background in, and understanding of academic library research services, with a particular strength in information literacy instruction Demonstrated analytical, assessment, and project management skills Skilled at written and verbal communication, including formal presentation to groups Knowledge of a variety of software, including content/repository management systems and Microsoft Office Knowledge of metadata standards and formats. Education MLS from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent Experience Teaching experience in a classroom or workshop environment UI/UX web design experience Experience with repository software packages and web-publishing platforms such as DSpace, Omeka, or Islandora.
