QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED): Masters in LIS, Computer Science, or other relevant technology field from ALA-accredited institution; Demonstrated knowledge of systems and IT; experience with IMS platforms, including Aleph, and operating experience with OCLC WorldShare Management Services (WMS); excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills; experience with social networking technologies and current Educational Technology trends;QUALIFICATION (PREFERRED): Second Masters in Religion, Theology, or related field; 2 years of work experience in an academic library; 2 years of experience in technical services, IT, or related systems; experience with serials/acquisitions; experience with cataloguing; reference and/or teaching experience;
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage library technology, in consultation with Director and PALNI staff
- Responsible for transition of systems
- Maintain the library website, LibGuides, social media
- Participate with technical services partners in PALNI
- Perform original and copy-cataloguing
- Train library staff on changes made to our systems
- Help design instructional technology needs with Director and Public Services Librarian
- Perform reference duties
- Conducts regular instruction in academic technology
