Software Developer Test, Lead

Description

As a Lead Software Developer in Test, you will be an integral team leader responsible for testing multi-tiered applications that enable librarians, academic researchers, and vendors to efficiently manage, provide and use their e-resources.

Some of what you'll be doing:

•     Participate in Scrum for assigned projects
•     Work closely with Development to define, research, correct and retest defects
•     Programmatically test products, measure test coverage, and drive testability of the product, while promoting best practices
•     Represent testing needs in software requirements and design review inspections
•     Prepare technical and business documentation as required
•     Participate in the definition, setup, and orchestration of system level stress and capacity tests
•     Research technical advancements to improve testing for new or existing products
•     Own continuous improvement for existing and new processes
•     Hold responsibility for automation tools, frameworks and standards decisions

What you'll have experience doing:

•     10+ years in Technology in QA or Development related role with at least 5 years in an SDET role and Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
•     2+ years of mentoring other SDETs
•     Experience working with automated build systems such as Jenkins
•     Must have mastery of one or more programming or scripting languages.
•     Excellent researching and problem solving skills, including the ability to analyze, compare, evaluate, reconcile and order data
•     Development experience in an integrated development environment (IDE) especially the Eclipse or IntelliJ
•     Ability to work non-standard hours on occasion

Bonus Points!

•     Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
•     Experience with MS SQL and MySQL databases
•     Ability to effectively work through conflict to reach effective and impactful solutions
