Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC), serving Somerset and Hunterdon County residents for forty years, offers over 90 associate degrees and certificates, customized training and continuing education. The College is currently searching for a Library Electronic Resources Specialist to work in the Evelyn Field Library of Raritan Valley Community College.

Under the direct supervision of the Electronic Resources and Web Services Librarian and the overall direction of the Library Director, the Electronic Resources Specialist is responsible for the library's extensive Web portal. The Electronic Resources Specialist is also responsible for specialized technical management of the library's electronic resources, assuring 24/7 access for all library users.
Responsible for the development, upkeep and design of the library's Web portal.
Configure and maintain Web Server/Internet Information Service.
Manage dynamic and template content on the website. Manage the technical aspects of the library's electronic resources.
Maintain EBook MARC records in Millennium and EBSCO Discovery Service.
Maintain accurate and current information about the library's subscription databases.
Responsible for contacting vendors regarding access problems and settings.
Design Web interface to library catalog in collaboration with the Somerset County Library System staff.
Serve as library liaison to the MIS department. Troubleshoot basic PC and printer issues. Serve as first point of contact for computer or network problems.
Handle confidential records of library users. Update BANNER with appropriate library holds.
Perform regular circulation desk duties. Assist with other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:
Associate degree or certificate equivalency from an accredited program or a combination of relevant work and education experience. Commitment to public service is critical. Experience using EZProxy, ColdFusion, HTML, CSS, SQL, PHP, IIS, MARC, JavaScript and MS Office.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Knowledge of the Millennium library system is preferred.
