The University of Wyoming Libraries is seeking applicants for a STEM Liaison Librarian position.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as liaison librarian for engineering and science departments. Liaison responsibilities include supporting faculty and student research, communication and outreach, and developing partnerships between academic areas and the Libraries for curriculum, research, scholarly communication and digital initiatives. Provide information literacy instruction and reference services to faculty and students in accordance with ACRL Standards for Libraries in Higher Education. Some evening and weekend work required. Conduct an active and ongoing program of professional development, scholarship and service. The position reports to the Head of Research & Instruction Services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: MLS from an ALA-accredited institution. Education or experience in a STEM discipline. Demonstrated ability to work independently.  Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.  Ability to work collaboratively with other campus units.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience providing reference and instruction in an academic library with emphasis in STEM and general science disciplines. Familiarity with asynchronous teaching and learning methods. Understanding of the science research process. Knowledge of emerging trends in data management, scholarly communications, and digital initiatives. Familiarity with metadata standards, and an understanding of the issues and challenges related to curation and preservation of research data.
