Ex Libris (Australia) is seeking a Solution Architect to serve as a product expert in the company’s new unified resource management system, Alma, and Primo, our resource discovery platform. Reporting to the Director of Sales ANZ, the Solution Architect works closely with Sales team to understand the customer’s needs and deliver compelling product demonstrations. The Solution Architect will accompany the Sales team on customer visits; provide consultation to account managers and prospective customers, via the telephone, email or webinar; and assist with RFP responses. The Solution Architect will attend all ANZ conference events, customer user group meetings, and APAC sales meetings.

- Lead Pre-Sales activities in ANZ region;
- Regular meetings with customers, delivering high quality solution & product education sessions and demonstrations;
- Hold product knowhow and expertise in Alma and Primo;
- Work with Director of Sales ANZ and the sales team in the region on key accounts sales opportunities;
- Work with the EXL HQ teams on various regional development projects;
- Lead competitors and market analysis;
- Participate and lead EXL participation in marketing events in Australia & New Zealand
Requirements:
- Proven presentation experience
- Proven experience in planning and delivering presentations
- Hands-on, functional experience with library systems
- Strong technical skills; basic HTML/CSS is helpful
- Knowledge of current and evolving library practices and trends
- Ability to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and webinars
- MLIS degree or equivalent (desirable)
- The position requires up to 50% travel
