LifeWay Christian Resources in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Metadata Specialist to coordinate, manage data, and its delivery processes to support publishing industry requirements and Church Resources division initiatives. This operational role is tightly aligned with technical teams and provides leadership support to sales, product, and marketing teams in the analysis, development, maintenance, and output of complex product data to publishing industry standards. Required skills/experience: 5 - 7 years technology experience working in a data mining environment Experience with publishing title management, desktop publishing software, digital workflows and thorough knowledge of their related input/output formats, metadata standards, and industry governance organizations with emphasis in ONIX and XML markup language. Trade publishing experience in a technically-based production environment. Demonstrated success in working corroboratively across multiple content operations and technical business teams. Ability to analyze and validate structured data to mark-up standards and understand data delivery systems and methodologies. Ability to embrace change, work well with diverse teams, negotiate solutions, clearly communicate complex issues and data models. Work on multiple and competing initiatives, balance deliverables, and pro-actively prioritize work as appropriate. Ability to maintain attention to detail and quality output in a highly repetitive production environment. Highly detail conceptualization and data modeling ability.
