Loudoun County Public Library is seeking qualified applicants for the Division Manager of Library Technology Services position. This position reports directly to the Library Director and is a member of the senior management team, working closely with the Director and other members of the management team to facilitate and implement long-range planning for the library system. Responsible for providing direction and expertise in digital library applications, including web development, emerging technologies and initiatives to help the library innovate through technology, major responsibilities of this position include: ~Shape and execute a system-wide strategy to address the technology needs of current and future customers, and enhance customer experience in a changing library landscape through technology. ~Identify library technology needs and create plans to adapt and improve library technology. ~Lead all library technology initiatives, projects, and planning. ~Develop and coordinate a technology training plan for staff and the public to address the current and emerging needs of the community and the profession. Successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of current technology and its potential use in libraries. This position requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Library Science, or related field and four years technology or related experience, which includes technology trends and applications.
