The CIO will contribute to fulfilling the College’s vision for the future of education by supporting the work of faculty and students, maximizing the benefits of technology for learning and scholarship. The CIO will support administrative functions College-wide by providing enterprise management and the foundation for data analytics. Beyond Bryn Mawr, the CIO will continue to build strategic and operational partnerships with its sister institutions, Haverford College and Swarthmore College, both in library collaboration and in projects that seek greater administrative efficiencies and economies. These institutional partnerships are virtually unique in American higher education and are points of pride for the three colleges and a model for other institutions to follow.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a strong leader and manager who has a full understanding of both information technology and libraries, and who is able to articulate and implement a vision and strategy to guide the future of a merged organization in a rapidly changing environment. He or she will have the ability to work in close partnership with faculty and other internal and external partners, and to oversee operations and strengthen coordination across the merged organization.
