Library Technology Specialist

Description

The Library at Mt. Hood Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Library Technology Specialist. Responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of library computer systems implementation, upgrades and monitoring of activities on library servers, in collaboration with IT. Assists in the administration of the Integrated Library System (ILS), including all peripherals, maintenance and upgrades, with an emphasis on circulation functions. Provides technical support to Resource Sharing. Serves as the primary web developer for the Library website and co-leads the Web Presence Community of Practice.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

Bachelor's degree in Library or Computer Science
Two years of experience in an academic library technical services department
Two years of demonstrated experience with Millennium ILS administration
At the college's discretion, additional education/experience may be substituted for experience/education on a year-for-year basis.

Years of experience requirements mean years of full-time work. At the College's discretion, one year of part-time work may equate to one-half year of full-time work, depending upon number of hours worked.

Experience supporting computers in a local area network environment
Experience with website design
