Director for Digital Services

Description

The Library of Congress is searching for its next Director for Digital Services. The salary range for this position is $151,661 - $228,000 per year. The position is eligible for limited telework and a flexitime work schedule as determined by agency policy.  

The Director for Digital Services is responsible for the Library’s digital collections, discovery, and metadata management services through the leadership of the Digital Services Directorate under the Associate Librarian for Discovery and Preservation Services, within the Library Collections and Services Group.   

The Digital Services Directorate encompasses three Divisions: Collections Digitization, Collections Discovery & Metadata Services, and Digital Collection Management & Services, together consisting of approximately 100 staff members. 

Areas of work include collections digitization, web archiving, acquisition of born digital materials, collection metadata management, and product management for systems that enable access to and discovery of the Library’s collections for its users.
