Research Impact Informationist
Description
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Libraries invite applications for a Research and Education Informationist. This position offers a chance to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment dedicated to advancing research, education, and clinical practice at MUSC.
The Research Impact Informationist will lead the development of the library’s research impact services program, with a focus on scholarly output, bibliometrics, and research impact assessment. Reporting to the Associate Director, this position will work closely the Office of Research, the South Carolina Clinical & Translational Research (SCTR) Institute, MUSC Libraries, and other campus partners to support and enhance research impact services. An ALA-accredited master’s degree in library science or an advanced degree in informatics, data science, health sciences, statistics, biological, life, or physical sciences.
Salary Range: $60,000 to $ 90,000, commensurate with education and experience.
Faculty Rank & Work Environment: The faculty rank is open. MUSC faculty members work hybrid schedules as appropriate for their roles.
Location Requirement: Successful candidates must relocate to Charleston, SC. Relocation assistance is provided.
