eCollections Access and Licensing Librarian 

Clemson University Libraries invites candidates for an eCollections Access and Licensing Librarian to join its Collections & Discovery Division. The Libraries’ materials budget is currently $9.5 million with over 80% spent on electronic resources. Electronic resources managed by the eResources team include e-books, e-journals, databases, streaming media, and data sets. This position is integral in ensuring our collections are discoverable and accessible through eResources work, including licensing, negotiations, troubleshooting access issues, and the trialing and marketing new resources. 

Clemson Libraries migrated to Alma/Primo VE in June 2020 and is part of a statewide Network Zone that includes 54 other institutions in the Partnership Among South Carolina Academic Libraries (PASCAL) consortium. 

Clemson Libraries faculty are academic community members responsible for librarianship, scholarship, and service. This 12-month tenure-track faculty position works under the direction of the Head of Collections and Acquisitions within the Collections and Discovery division. 

This role provides faculty rank and a minimum salary of $62,100 based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience. Various medical plans, dental plans, and retirement plans are available. Eighteen days of annual leave, 15 days of sick leave, 13 paid holidays, and liberal professional development leave are provided. Library faculty receive an individual stipend for travel or other professional development activity. 

Qualified candidates must have an ALA-accredited graduate degree in librarianship or a relevant accredited graduate degree in another scholarly field as deemed appropriate by the Libraries. One year of experience with electronic resources in an academic library is also required. 

The ideal candidate will have experience working with publishers and electronic resources vendors, Experience with Ex Libris Alma and Primo VE, supervisory experience, experience working as part of a consortium, and experience with COUNTER Reports.
