The University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), a Research 1 institution and the flagship institution for the state, is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the collaborative Acquisitions & Continuing Resources team at the University Libraries. The city of Knoxville is a hidden gem with a beautiful and walkable downtown, varied nightlife, active neighborhoods, and eclectic shopping and restaurants. UT is located within easy driving distance to Asheville, Nashville, Atlanta, and the Great Smoky Mountains.

Reporting to the Head, Acquisitions & Continuing Resources, the Electronic Resources Librarian works as a member of a collaborative team where innovative thinking and creative problem solving are highly valued. This position co-leads the Electronic Resources team within ACR which is responsible for managing the lifecycle of the Libraries’ electronic resources, including the renewing, licensing, preserving, activating, and troubleshooting of electronic resources. They will supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate 2 FTE. This position will manage the workflows, best practices, and renewal of electronic and subscription resources; explore new trends and developments related to electronic resources; and be a key participant in the licensing and negotiation team. This position requires a thorough understanding of licensing, acquiring, evaluating, and supporting ongoing access to electronic resources.
