The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is seeking a Ticketing System Admin and Jr Data Analyst for our Digital Strategies department. The Ticketing System Admin and Jr Data Analyst will support the Sr. Business Systems Analyst of the Museum’s Ticketing Software with all system needs, general configuration and onboarding new modules and users and maintains knowledge of both the software and associated hardware and how to test, replace and upgrade all parts at the Natural History Museum. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Performs job function in a manner that advances the Museum’s mission and strategic goals and is consistent with the organization’s values. Fosters internal collaboration through participation in interdepartmental teams. Assists the Director with coordinating with the Finance Division with respect to ongoing reporting and reconciliation of operating and financial data collected in the ticketing system. Makes adjustments in the ticketing system to balance financial transaction as necessary.
Helps develops procedures for the consistent execution of the program/function. Ensures procedures are written, communicated to all staff affected and stored in an accessible fashion for employees to reference in the future.
Works with Manager to identify and prioritize reporting needs and develop custom analytics and reports. Documents business requirements and translates these to specifications and design.
Assists in configuring and maintaining the online sales channel, and improves the guest experience by identifying and implementing improvements to the presentation of options and optimizing the purchase path.
Configures and monitors ticketing system in relation to Museum ticket and event needs, as well as its custom integrations with the Museum's fundraising, financial, business intelligence and customer relationship management software. Assists with the execution and analysis of test data output.
This position has the following requirements:
Understands basic planning processes. Is familiar with the setting of goals and is capable of developing staff goals and work assignments to support the accomplishment of departmental goals. Is capable of monitoring implementation of goals at this level, making necessary adjustments and informing higher levels of management regarding significant changes.
Has demonstrated ability to work with others on teams, across an organization and external audiences. Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels within an organization.
Must be task-oriented and self-driven to start and complete tasks with efficiency and minimal supervision.
Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and documentations
Has experience in using programming languages such as TSQL, SSRS, C#, MySQL, PHP, Python/R, CRM and BI Tools for data analysis.
Has proficiency is using web related programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
Proficient in POS configurations and functionalities.
Understanding of domains, network securities, virtual servers and PCI requirements.
