Digitization Specialist

Description

Working with a high degree of independence, the Digitization Specialist will be overseeing the operations of our digitization program. Reporting to the Preservation Services Team Leader and working closely with the Digital Collections Manager and Digital Preservation Librarian, the digitization specialist will be responsible for performing and supervising complex scanning and photography of materials from the Kelvin Smith Library and University Archive collections in compliance with national and international standards. This position will collaborate with various library teams and will actively engage with departments across the campus, and partners in University Circle, to determine and develop goals and outcomes of digitization work. The Specialist will continually explore new technologies to increase the diversity and capacity of digital content produced locally and regionally.
