Applications Developer

Description

This position will support the development and maintenance of new and existing applications, services, and integrations using a variety of platforms and languages as part of a team in Library IT Application Development department in Library IT division.. The Library IT Applications department has responsibility for writing, maintaining, and supporting all library applications, including digital project workflows, the library’s internal and external web services, including  integrations with library discovery platforms,and the digital collections management system(s), and integrations with campus technology services and platforms.

Under the supervision of the department head of Application Development, this developer will be involved in researching, designing, writing, modifying, testing, troubleshooting, administering, and maintaining applications and programs, designing and building related databases, user interfaces, and APIs, evaluating third-party software and services, writing and maintaining documentation, and working with the Library DevOps department to develop and support continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows.
