About Pixel Acuity

Pixel Acuity is a fast growing digitization services company headquartered in Chantilly VA (DC Metro area) and a branch location in LA. As a division of Digital Transitions, the leading provider of digitization hardware and software worldwide, Pixel Acuity primarily serves heritage organizations such as Smithsonian, Getty, National Geographic Society, Walt Disney, Verizon, Brooks Brothers, as well as world renowned universities such as Princeton University, Columbia University and more. We strive to offer a higher quality product (FADGI 4-star) and superior customer service.

About the Position

Over the past two years we have seen significant growth in our Film Scanning and Artificial Intelligence offerings, and will be starting several large-scale digitization jobs in the near future. We are seeking an experienced manager to be our new Head of Digitization Operations (HDO) to smoothly manage our business through our next and future phases of growth.

The HDO will be backed by a strong team both within Pixel Acuity and from Digital Transitions, but is ultimately responsible for all digitization operations.

Operations responsibilities include:

  • Production Oversight – In coordination with the Project Managers, the HDO will oversee all ongoing digitization projects for both locations.

  • Process Management – In coordination with the Product Manager and R+D, the HDO will ensure processes and procedures are codified in SOPs that are followed company wide.

  • Scheduling & Forecasting – In coordination with the sales team and project managers the HDO will maintain a unified projection of project timelines and resource needs. The HDO will assign projects, allocating the appropriate Project Managers, Capture Technicians, and physical resources.

  • Talent Development – When HDO forecasts the need for additional staff, they will be responsible for that hiring process. In coordination with HR, Support Team, and R+D departments, the HDO will ensure new staff are properly onboarded, and existing staff are given the opportunity to grow their skillset, including annual performance reviews.

  • Facilities Management – In coordination with Ownership the HDO will assess and implement required upgrades to the physical environment and equipment inventory of the division. In coordination with the Project Managers the HDO will ensure the facilities maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment that matches the prestige and professionalism of the clients we serve.

  • Travel – Some digitization is performed on location at clients domestic and foreign. Estimated travel days per year: 10 to 20.

Location: DC Metro Area
