Discovery & Systems Librarian
Description
San Francisco State University, J. Paul Leonard Library offers an exciting opportunity for a tenure-track Discovery & Systems Librarian position at the rank of Senior Assistant or Associate Librarian beginning July 2023. We seek a colleague who will provide vision and project leadership critical for the technical infrastructure that delivers information resources to students and faculty via the Library’s discovery system and website. They will share responsibility for running local and remote systems including those supported and developed by the California State University (CSU) Library consortium, as well as coordinating workflows associated with third-party software that is crucial to resource discovery, research support, and student success. They will liaise with other library faculty and staff to provide improved systems support and implement user experience best practices to enhance discovery of and access to library collections and services. We are especially interested in qualified candidates with a demonstrated commitment to prioritizing access to a diverse user population, especially for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and first-generation students.
