The University of Michigan Library is excited to announce and open positions for a Data Curation Specialists in its Deep Blue Repository and Research Data Services (DBRRDS) unit.  

In this position, you will develop and maintain workflows to support the deposit, transfer, sharing, and curation of data into Deep Blue Data or other repositories in partnership with library and campus stakeholders. You will create or improve workflows to connect the repository with university infrastructure, such as those needed to demonstrate compliance with federal data sharing requirements. You will also serve as the primary service contact for working with and curating large (hundreds of GB or more) or complex data sets.

We are seeking individuals with experience in developing and documenting workflows, as well as someone with knowledge of data storage environments. We are also looking for someone with familiarity or experience in working with at least one type of research data (such as simulation data, code, experimental data, observational data, genomic, or clinical data). A degree in Library Science is helpful, but not required for this position. 

Appointment is anticipated at the Associate Librarian or Senior Associate Librarian rank. The salary range for this position is $62,000 to $70,000 for the Associate Librarian rank and $71,000 to $80,000 for the Senior Associate Librarian rank.
