Responsibilities
The Digital Asset Management Intern will…
- Catalog system assets using best practices for describing records
- Follow metadata standards, adhere to language/formatting guidelines and use controlled vocabularies
- Clean, transform, and reconcile data using spreadsheet or other data tools
- Perform quality control for records
- Assist in the development of DAM system user tutorials and documentation
- Help onboard and train new users
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a graduate-level MSIS or MLIS program
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail
- Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Any experience cataloging records in an academic, library, or archives setting preferred
- Interest in digital asset management, metadata standards, databases, and rights management
- Knowledge of Dublin Core, XMP, IPTC, VRA, and Getty AAT metadata standards a plus
- Familiarity with data governance principles and rights management
