The Content Integration Specialist role is an integral position within the Marketplace Operations team. The role is perfect for a creative, self-motivated, detail and process oriented, digital media specialist that is looking to join a highly effective team. Supporting our strategic content partners, the Content Integration Specialist role thinks strategically about customer needs, content lifecycle and marketplace dynamics. You’ll work in alignment with our content operations roadmap to drive tactical execution of content processing and publishing initiatives that maximize marketplace value. This role understands what drives success in the digital marketplace, is results driven, and thrives in an innovative high-energy environment. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for efficient processing and integration of strategic partner submissions in the form of digital media assets and metadata packages

  • Operate as an authority for Shutterstock’s compliance, technical, and metadata standards ensuring content integrity and consistency across our marketplace

  • Collaborate closely with internal and external teams, including workflow interoperability with remote based teams

  • Act as an authority on operations for strategic content partner accounts, providing insights and support as required

  • Participate in programs to evaluate and identify opportunities for workflow and process improvements

 

Requirements 

  • You are excited to roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty, and work alongside a highly collaborative team.

  • You LOVE content and have 2+ years domain expertise and professional experience with digital image capture and scanning, image, audio and video formats and codecs, file conversion and archiving.

  • You love descriptive metadata, and are passionate about accurate descriptions of digital objects on the web, data mining and harvesting, and metadata taxonomies.

  • You’re curious about the creative process and working with leading artists across image and video.

  • Knowledge and understanding of content licensing, the stock industry and business preferred.

  • Experience maintaining a DAM.

  • Strong knowledge of Excel, curiosity in analytics tools like Tableau, query languages like SQL, as well as data cleansing protocols using Python, Pandas, regular expressions.

  • Familiarity with JIRA and agile project management methodologies.

  • BS or MLIS in Computer Science, or Information Science preferred
