Data Science Facilitator

Are you interested in helping researchers across the UW-Madison campus strengthen their data science and computational skills? The American Family Insurance Data Science Institute (DSI) is hiring a Data Science Facilitator to advance the research activities of faculty members, students, and staff in a broad range of scholarly disciplines. This position will engage people in data science training, outreach, and community building. The Facilitator will also collaborate closely with research groups on short-term projects, developing workflows, reviewing code, helping with project management, teaching coding and computational skills, and providing other guidance. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience applying data science methods to the social sciences or digital humanities, such as text analysis with natural language processing, network analysis, or geospatial data analysis and visualization.
