Description

The Georgia State College of Law Library is excited to announce two new technology positions.   The College of Law Library has recently taken over the administration of the College of Law Legal Analytics & Innovation Initiative (LAII,) including the organization of the College's legal technology curriculum and certificate program.  Both positions present exciting new opportunities in curriculum development, research, technology, and teaching.

Data & Analytics Services Professional (can be appointed as a librarian or academic professional) - This position would act as the data subject matter expert for the law school and law library.  This person would be expected to teach or co-teach the Applied Legal Analytics Lab, as well as supervise students in other analytics and data projects. This position will also assist the law community with finding, evaluating, and using quantitative data involving statistical analysis software. While experience in statistics or data analytics is preferred, we will also consider a self-motivated individual ready to learn new skills and tools such as R, RStudio, SAS, SPSS, STATA, Python, Tableau, or Power BI.  See the position description for more details including specific qualifications and application procedures.

Legal Technologies Librarian - This position would work within LAII and in turn the library acting as the subject matter expert for emerging legal technology, law firm technology, and legal technology initiatives.  Other duties include teaching a required first-year legal research course, contributing to the LAII curricular and non-curricular offerings, and offering significant guidance and input into the development and growth of the new department.  See the position description for more details, including specific qualifications and application procedures.
