LOCKSS Operations Manager

The LOCKSS Program is hiring an Operations Manager. Are you seeking an active, mission-driven role in digital preservation, Web archiving and scholarly communications? Join our digital preservation team with over 20 years of history at Stanford University Libraries.
The Operations Manager oversees delivery of digital preservation services in the Global LOCKSS Network (GLN), CLOCKSS Archive, and other LOCKSS-based digital preservation networks. They play a central role managing the LOCKSS Program's portfolio of content processing pipelines, by coordinating between the LOCKSS Applied Preservation Services (APS) team and the LOCKSS Program's publishing partners. The position is full time, with possibility of remote (residing out of area) or hybrid (residing regionally and telecommuting multiple days a week) work arrangements. Salaries start at $100,000 per year, with higher pay ranges available for more senior candidates. The position will be opened until filled, with a deadline of 21 March 2022 for inclusion in the first round. The LOCKSS Program makes the award-winning LOCKSS distributed digital preservation software platform, used globally by hundreds of libraries to preserve and provide authoritative access to digital content, including scholarly communications, Web archives, and institutional repositories. It also operates digital preservation networks like the Global LOCKSS Network (GLN), delivers digital preservation services to organizations like the CLOCKSS Archive, and supports other digital preservation initiatives, all powered by the LOCKSS software. It is an internationally recognized part of the Stanford University Libraries (SUL) portfolio, having a major programmatic impact on the operations of memory organizations worldwide.
