Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno Libraries seeks a collaborative and user-centered Web Developer. This is a fulltime, non-tenure track position. Reporting to the Head of Digital Services, the developer supports University Libraries' web presence, enhancing functionality, customizing user interfaces, and developing custom integrations. This position will be part of the Web Team and application working groups. It also supports our ongoing commitment to maintain accessible and inclusive online content. The Libraries value strong service orientation, a willingness to experiment with new methods and technologies, an openness to change and a collaborative approach to meeting user needs.
Major Responsibilities
• Maintain, update, and repair server-side and client-side code
• Perform comprehensive requirements analysis, assess user needs, utilize web design concepts, and work within the department's application frameworks to deliver high-quality, intuitive, and user-friendly websites
• Perform quality assurance activities
• Maintain the Libraries use of web-based layouts, style sheets, and images to ensure a high-degree of quality and accessibility compliance as defined by campus standards.
• Analyze web analytics and conduct usability testing working closely with stakeholders to ensure that user needs drive functional and design development
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience, OR Master's Degree and one (1) year of related work experience
• Related Experience: web design and development, accessibility, web applications; programming; project development or related experience
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
• Working knowledge of responsive web design and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
• Experience with standard front- and back-end technologies such as HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, the .NET framework, and C#
• Experience with database design and content management systems, such as Ingeniux.
• Experience working in higher education or library web development

Salary & Benefits
Salary minimum is $63,000. This is a full-time, administrative faculty position at a Compensation Grade B. Salary is competitive and commensurate with related education and experience.
