Description
Clemson University Libraries seeks an innovative professional to work with a team of vibrant library faculty to create an exceptional user experience in the library. Reporting to the Associate Dean, the User Experience Librarian will lead an assessment program that informs services, online presence, and library spaces, and will conduct ongoing discovery projects to develop models of user behaviors, needs, and preferences in the physical and virtual library environment. This is a 12-month tenure-track position with faculty rank and status.QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements:
ALA-accredited MLS degree or equivalent.
Experience and/or coursework using assessment tools and procedures, including user satisfaction surveys, focus groups, one-on-one interviewing, and other techniques.
Experience and/or coursework in usability studies and interface design.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong commitment to customer service.
Ability to collaborate with diverse groups and communicate ideas effectively.
Project management experience.
Evidence of, or potential for, professional and/or scholarly activity.
PAY & WORK SCHEDULE:
Highly competitive salary and faculty rank based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
Standard Hrs: 37.5;
