Position Summary: Robert W. Van Houten Library at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) seeks a collaborative, detailed-oriented, and tech-savvy Scholarly Communication Librarian to support and contribute to the university’s creative activities, innovative teaching, and robust research ecosystem. This position reports to the University Librarian and has a leading role in the workflows that establish and maintain the library’s scholarly communication lifecycle, digital humanities, open access, and open education. The position supports new models for research and scholarship by providing and managing digital tools and applications for content creation, delivery, discovery, and analysis. The position also educates faculty and students in copyright, creative commons licenses, and intellectual property to safeguard the library’s role in the scholarly communication lifecycle.
