Collections Strategist
Description
Western Carolina University is seeking a Collections Strategist & Resource Access Librarian who will lead Hunter Library in creating and sustaining an environment of evidence-based collections acquisition, management, and review. They will coordinate a collaborative process for prioritizing and acquiring resources across disciplinary areas. As part of the position, they will produce analyses, data visualizations, and reports. The Collections Strategist & Resource Access Librarian will develop and lead collection assessment efforts to ensure alignment with research, teaching and learning priorities at WCU and effective stewardship of collections budgets.
This is a 12-month tenure track Assistant Professor position which reports to the Head of Content Organization and Management but will work in close collaboration with other library units. In this tenure track position, you can expect to learn continuously in a rapidly changing academic landscape. We will help you be successful by providing support and professional development opportunities. Anticipated salary range is $55,000-58,000.
