Electronic Resources Librarian

The Upstate Health Sciences Library seeks an Electronic Resources Librarian to be part of a collaborative team working to provide a frictionless e-resources environment by optimizing systems integrations and minimizing obstacles to access.

On the job you will:
- Coordinate access to electronic resources
- Establish and maintain access to new resources in the Library management system
- Ensure the accuracy of holdings to improve link resolver performance
- Perform first-tier troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of access issues
- Coordinate content for the Library website and assist with LibGuide management
- Manage Upstate’s area of the institutional repository (SUNY Open Access Repository/SOAR)
- Maintain and organize subcommunities and collections in OpenRepository
- Submit manuscripts, import and create metadata
- Investigate and implement options to streamline submissions
- Serve as library management and discovery system (Alma/Primo) administrative back up the OpenAthens authentication platform
- Coordinate the implementation of SUNY’s Library Accessibility Guidelines relative to electronic and information technology (EIT)
- Manage OpenAthens user accounts, creating and renewing accounts for Upstate affiliates
- Collaborate with Library systems and resources teams on projects
- Assist with basic technical support for Library staff as back up to Library Technology Specialist
- Contribute to the Library’s efforts to promote diversity and belonging at Upstate and in our communities
- Serve on library, faculty, and university wide committees
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent
- Demonstrated problem solving experience
- Evidence of successful collaboration
- Evidence of a strong customer service orientation
Preferred qualifications
- Academic or medical library experience
- Working knowledge of library electronic resource management
- Web content management experience
- Familiarity with Ex Libris Alma/Primo
- Familiarity with open access institutional repositories
Salary & Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with qualifications. Starting range is high 50s - low 60s

This is a tenure-track faculty appointment at the level of assistant or senior assistant librarian.
The option of working remotely may be available for this position.
