The Ida Jane Dacus Library seeks a solution-focused, collaborative, and advocacy-oriented Digital Strategies and Systems Librarian who leverages current and emerging standards and practices to ensure the integrity of the Library and Archives’ discovery, repository, and other technological systems and associated hardware and software.
Reporting to the Head of Content Services, the Digital Strategies & Systems Librarian works collaboratively with library and archives employees, as well as campus-wide partners and vendors to provide leadership in the maintenance and development of the library’s integrated library system, website, and institutional repository. This person in this role provides collegial guidance in associated policies, workflows, and procedures in order to support the teaching and scholarship of the Winthrop community. The successful candidate implements a guiding leadership ethos, applies creative approaches to problem solving, and considers the Association of College & Research Libraries’ Core Organizational Values – and Winthrop University’s values – of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in their daily and collaborative work.
This is a 12-month tenure-track faculty position, and rank will be assigned at the assistant or associate level, commensurate with experience.
